What's Messiah Like?
Come as you are.

We’re so glad you’re thinking about visiting Messiah Lutheran Church! Below you’ll find answers to some common questions to help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

What is it like?

Worship at Messiah is warm, welcoming, and centered on God’s grace. We gather to hear God’s Word, share Holy Communion, and grow together in faith and service. Our services combine traditional and contemporary elements—you’ll hear hymns, organ and piano music, and often our choirs or handbells.
You can expect friendly faces, joyful singing, and a community that cares deeply for one another and the world.

What about my kids?

Children are always welcome in worship at Messiah!

We offer children’s messages, a Sunday morning faith-formation time called Growing God’s Way for both children and adults, and monthly family gatherings through our Rooted Together ministry. A nursery is available during Sunday services for our youngest worshipers.

We love seeing kids participate—wiggles and all—because we believe children belong in church.

Beginning in December 2025, as our new facility opens, Growing God’s Way for children (through grade five) will become a special part of our 10:30 a.m. worship. Children will start the hour with a learning session designed just for them, then join their families in the sanctuary to celebrate Holy Communion together.

Where do I park?

Parking is available behind the church off W. Lancaster Avenue, with accessible spaces near the entrance. Look for our greeters at the doors—they’ll be happy to help you find your way.

What do I wear?

You’ll see everything from jeans and sneakers to suits and dresses.
Come as you are—what matters most is that you’re here! God welcomes you just as you are, and so do we.
