Dear Messiah Family –

Here’s what’s happening at church this week:

This week’s sermon theme: Easter Up

Annual Spring Mulching: We will be mulching the beds of the church grounds on Saturday, May 2nd (rain date May 9th) from 8am till noon. If you’d like to join us in a great morning of ministry and fellowship, all are welcome!  Please bring your wheel barrow, pitch fork and rake if you have them. Thanks, Jim Heller

Check out the card ministry table for pictures and info on the new members received in recently and add the sheet to your members’ photo directory. Thanks to Sheila for the great pictures. There is also a special autographed picture of Dave Kipp and Pastor for sale at the minimal price of $750.

TRINITY OF BABY BASKETS – BABY BASKET WELCOME our newest family members, Brielle Carly Pribbernow.  Wyatt Allen Nguyen (Senne family)  and Owen Daniel Thomas (Emery Family).  The laundry basket in the hallway across from the church office is used for gathering items for welcoming new babies born into the congregation. We also try to anticipate the needs of the new mom, so besides the normal things for newborns such as diapers, wipes, blankets, onesies, rattles, etc., other items to consider for mom are lotions and hand creams, special treats, bottled water, scented candles.

JESUS STUDY – Wednesdays in May, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. In these four sessions Jesus will show us that the gift of compassion must be accompanied by the gift of truth for there to be balance in a relationship. Nothing captures Jesus’ honesty better than how He relates to people during meals. It’ll be fun to see how He behaves and to reflect on how we behave when dining at someone else’s home. THIS IS NOT A BIBLE STUDY! It is a study of Jesus. If you are interested please sign the sing-up sheet next to the card ministry table. Denise Stearns, Discipleship Director

Members of VAMOS are walking the track at Downingtown West for 24 hours on May 16-17 to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. We have put a HOPE banner on the library doors to give anyone wishing to donate ideas of how to raise money to help with cancer research, treatment, education and prevention. Money also goes to fund Hope Lodges, where families and caregivers can stay while cancer survivors receive treatment. There is also a sheet where you can write names of anyone you’d like us to walk for – in memory or in honor.

DONATE HERE: You can also make a donation or dedicate a luminaria directly on our team page.

Lastly, the VAMOS Relay for Life team is having a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday, April 28, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.  There are flyers near the card ministry table. 10% of all eat-in, take-out, and gift cards will go to Relay for Life in our team’s name!

Please e-mail miranda.stueve@gmail.com or leahfisher88@gmail.com with any questions.  Thank you for your support and prayers! Thank you very much! Miranda
