Silver Springs Martin Luther School promotes trauma recovery and family reunification in a nurturing and healing environment with quality educational programs. Children age 6-14 are helped to heal and to manage the overwhelming feelings and memories of the bad, sad, and scary things that have happened to them. The program offers comprehensive services, including:
- Residential treatment
- Special education for grades K-8
- Community-based services
Messiah supports these efforts throughout the year with donations of Christmas gifts, back-to-school supplies, and Easter baskets. We’ve also funded and supported larger projects, including new carpet in the residence building. Our biggest project was the playground built in 2010. Messiah donated the funds/equipment and supplied the labor to build the playground for the school.
